At the beginning of the year, French students welcomed their schoolmates
in a form of eJournal.

Draft media literacy syllabus for French pupils

French teachers in the project outlined a media literacy syllabus, following their French experience of Eramus programmes including ‘Media Literacy among Teenagers’. For the future, they propose to include European lessons on a regular way in the baccalaureat in their school.

Table ronde au LEPRP Jeanne Antide :

“La démocratie et les Fake news parmi les adolescents”

Une vingtaine de délégués élèves se sont réunis avec 3 enseignants et la responsable de la vie scolaire pour le projet “Fake news among teenagers”. Mme Seignol, directrice du lycée a ouvert la réunion pour confirmer la continuité du projet européen même dans les conditions actuelles et encourager les élèves à rester impliqués dans le projet.

Avant et afin de préparer une nouvelle visio européenne en mai 21 avec les partenaires de Slovénie, Autriche, Bulgarie, Allemagne, Suède et France les élèves ont débattu sur la notion de démocratie au lycée, en stages ou à la maison partant de l’expérience Summerhill et de Gaudiopolis . Il s’agissait de savoir si les conditions étaient réunies aujourd’hui pour apprendre à gérer justement l’abondance des fake news sur les réseaux sociaux. Par petits groupes ils ont donné une définition des notions et rassemblé des arguments pour montrer que la liberté d’expression et la facilité de communication entre les citoyens permettaient de choisir objectivement de stopper ou de propager les Fake News. Les délégués élèves ont pris conscience des moyens en place pour protéger la démocratie et leur parole dans différentes situations sociales et professionnelles. Prochain rendez – vous après les vacances de Pâques et l’étude de la presse afin de préparer la visio internationale organisée en mai 21 par la Slovénie, coordinateur du projet. Les travaux et les productions sont partagées sur eTwinning , la page du projet européen en construction, le site du lycée Jeanne Antide et ses réseaux sociaux. Merci à tous les participants.

“Democracy and Fake News Among Teenagers ”

About twenty students’ delegates met with 3 teachers and the person in charge of school life for the

“Fake news among teenagers” project. Mrs Seignol, director of the school opened the meeting to confirm the continuity of the European project even under current conditions and to encourage the pupils to remain involved in the project. Before and in order to prepare a new European visio in May 21 with partners from Slovenia, Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Sweden and France, the students debated on the notion of democracy in high school, in internships or at home based on the experience Summerhill and Gaudiopolis. It was a question of knowing if the conditions were met today to learn how to manage precisely the abundance of fake news on social networks. In small groups they gave a definition of the concepts and gathered arguments to show that the freedom of expression and the ease of communication between the citizens made it possible to choose objectively to stop or to propagate the Fake News. The student delegates became aware of the means in place to protect democracy and their voice in different social and professional situations. Next meeting after the Easter holidays and the study of the press in order to prepare the international video organized on May 21 by Slovenia, coordinator of the project. The works and the productions are shared on eTwinning, the page of the European project under construction, the site of the Lycée Jeanne Antide and its social networks. Thank you to all participants.
